Intestinal infectious diseases constitute a broad group of disorders caused by bacterial, viral, and parasitic pathogens that primarily affect the gastrointestinal tract. These conditions are characterize by acute onset, digestive symptoms, and a high risk of dehydration and metabolic disturbances.
